Person of the Year Nominations
AWARDS
1. The Public Works Person of the Year Award shall be awarded on the basis of merit and character to any Public Works Official who is or was associated with any Municipality in Westchester County. Titles to be considered shall include, but not be limited to, Commissioner of Public Works, Director of Public Works, Superintendent of Public Works, Superintendent of Highways, County, Town, Village Engineer, General Foreman, Deputy to any above title including Department Heads of Staff and Line Organizations.
2. Preference shall be given to Public Works Officials who are members of WCAMPWA and who have a record of attending more than half of the yearly meetings. Service as an Officer of the Association shall also be considered for preferential consideration.
3. The Annual Award shall be know as the Westchester County Association of Municipal Public Works Administrators Public Works Person of the Year Award.
4. The form and cost of the award shall be that established by the Award Committee with the approval of the Board of Directors.
5. The recipient of the Award shall be made known at the first meeting of the Association in the month of June of each year with the award being formally presented at the Annual Dinner-Dance or at any other official function as directed by the Board of Directors.
6. If, during any year and prior to the Association’s Annual Dinner-Dance, no Official is found eligible for the award, no award shall be given that year.
NOMINATION
1. The nomination for the award shall be made in writing to the Award Committee.
